Kurt Vonnegut taught me in Player Piano that we are all trying to figure out what we are supposed to do, to be mindful of our own crap, and to be suspect of anyone who says they have all the answers. It's all a trap, it's all preposterous, and it's all futile in the end. But we can still try. We can still make mistakes and make art and make lovely things. Sometimes the imperfections in life are the prefect things we need.
